I don't understand the point of this project. You have some valid points, but I think you don't realize is that this project is just a tiny piece in a much larger puzzle. You cannot solve the larger puzzle without investigating the individual pieces, especially not in a graduation project like mine...

Re: Predicting people's mood after watching a movie. Need he

Ah, I was remembering my mood. Naughty, probably. I'll wait till I watch something on my laptop. Ah, yes... that's a bit of a trade-off I have to make unfortunately. Remembering how you felt is inherently very biased, so from a psychological standpoint it is better to limit that as much as possible...

Re: Predicting people's mood after watching a movie. Need he

It's this one: "it's weird using a smiley to interpret my mood". I rather choose something from a list (in addition to the smiley?). Ah ok. To be honest, that's the option I'm least concerned about. I didn't invent this 'smiley' thing myself. It's a validated tool to assess "affectiv...

Re: Predicting people's mood after watching a movie. Need he

Thanks td888! I saw the new entry in the database a few minutes ago . Weird as in "it keeps doing stuff I don't want it to do"? Or as in "it's weird using a smiley to interpret my mood"? I have noticed that the smiley for a lot of people seems more intuitive when you use a cursor...

Ouch, when did you get that error? Yesterday I'm assuming? Weird... haven't seen this happen since the last version from a week ago. Does it happen every time you try to submit something? Can you try again with a garbage title (so I know it's a test).

Predicting people's mood after watching a movie. Need help:)

Hey guys, It's been a few years since I posted on this board. I still regularly rate movies on my second account though ( QuickyAPI ). Criticker for me was what triggered my endeavours into building my own recommendation engines and my interest in mathematical algorithms in general. Some of you may ...

Re: What do you screen your movies on?

I'm watching on a 37" philips ambilight TV with a Denon receiver and 6.1 surround set by Mordaunt-Short. Works great in my 12m2 room :P.

lztr.us invite?

Hey guys, does anybody of you happen to have an invite available for lztr.us? It's a tracker in particular for classical music and movie soundtracks.
I have karagarga invites in return if you want.
Thank you for your time :).

'Buy' tab appears even when there's nothing to buy

I noticed that when I'm logged out and went to the page on Avatar, the tab that was opened was the Buy tab, even though there's nothing listed in the Buy tab. My obvious question... what's the point of opening the page on the Buy tab instead of the Ratings tab when there's nothing to buy? ;)

Re: The 5 Manliest and 5 Girliest of Your Favorites

Using my movie databases awesome powerz I calculated the "manliness" of all the movies*, using the male/female votes on IMDb. Ok, that may not be exactly your definition of manlyness, but it's one take on things... Update: I made an error in my calculations which put more emphasis on reall...
