Re: Lost films should not be in the database
What is a solution would be to keep the films in criticker's database but lock them from being able to be reviewed by users, with a header on the film's page saying something like "this is a lost film, and as a result cannot be reviewed." Idk, the wording could be better, but you get the ...

Re: Issues with PSIs in Games
My game profile at the moment. All my ratings are at 99% or 98% at the moment, and "recent ratings" includes a big bunch of films with rating of 0. And on the profile it claims I have 2920 game ratings (my actual game ratings + my film ratings) and for TCIs "Games in Common Minimum&q...

Re: New Changes at Criticker
Some other oddities at least on Games side of thing: it claims I have 2918 game ratings (actually 51, and with 2867 film ratings that makes 2918), and when I try to rate new stuff the rating sticks but with no percentage value is shown (and I suspect is not included in the ranking calculation, I'll ...

Re: New Changes at Criticker
At least on game side, when I try to search the database while filtering with platform, I get "Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/critic/public_html/title_list.php on line 906"

Re: From Tiers to Percentiles: Introducing a Big New Change to Criticker
ranking inflation portrayed by people giving rankings like 70 or 80 to films they think suck tells me many people also wouldn't be any good at assigning any arbitrary midpoints or other milestones. Ok. But what about people who rank movies they deem "very good" at 87 and have them in thei...

Re: From Tiers to Percentiles: Introducing a Big New Change to Criticker
this is kind of my whole point though: TCI's are made higher or lower by something that's irrelevant to taste, and ideally that wouldn't be the case. i have acquaintances with middling TCIs who clearly have more compatible tastes with me than some of my top TCIs do, but solely because of different ...

Re: From Tiers to Percentiles: Introducing a Big New Change to Criticker
To be honest I wouldn't be too worried about the differences in scales and watching habits because the system as it is already considers this to some effect. No matter what percentage, the tier/percentage of the movie is still comparable to other movies, this movie being better/worse than that movie...

Re: Scores and percentiles
My rating scale is close to ten-point system but with some variation: short films are rated on normal ten-point system (10, 20, ..., 100) while feature films are divided a bit above or a bit below (8, 12, 18, 22,..., 92, 98) so in total I have 29 ratings. 100 99 98 99 92 98 90 97 88 95 82 93 80 91 7...
