Adjusted Popularity Ranges
I think the popularity ranges need to be revamped. Currently the most popular range (10/10) contains 3,464 titles. It's hard to think that "Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)" can be considered as well-watched as "Jurassic Park". This also makes it difficult to perform certain searches. For instance...

Re: How do you rate ridiculously bad movies: 0 or >0 ?
I actually retain a couple of numbers out of 100 for movies that are difficult to rate. Either they're so bad they're good, or I respect them for some reason or another but couldn't get into them, etc. For instance, 35 (20th percentile): Crank, Batman (1966), Space Jam, and Thankskilling. Dumb as he...

Re: Trolling Oneself
I've watched all of Seltzer and Friedberg's work to date, because I like to remember what separates a truly dogshit film from something merely bad.

Re: Great performances in bad films and vice versa!
I'm going to go ahead and say Philip Seymour Hoffman in Along Came Polly . To quote my review, An entertaining (if low-brow) cliche romance. A full 10 - 20 points belong to Philip Seymour Hoffman, who is a goddamn national treasure and a shockingly good comedy actor. His story arc on its own would m...

Re: Actors by Percentage Seen (The New Feature)
Mine is a bit depressing. In my number one spot, having seen all 10 films he appeared in, stands Chris Farley. I hate Chris Farley. I have a similar situation. Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg are both in my "top 10" directors, because I hate their movies enough to watch them as a testam...

Re: Philip Seymour Hoffman
He'll go down as a screen legend. His filmography speaks for itself. Showed standout brilliance in every movie I ever saw him in. I second that. As I once wrote, Hoffman was frighteningly good in every role he tackled . Every performance was a constant reminder of his outstanding talent. A sad loss...

Re: Philip Seymour Hoffman
This one really hurts. I was hoping for decades more of his acting; he's one of the most incredible people I've ever seen work.

Philip Seymour Hoffman dead at 46
Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman found dead in New York City apartment http://on.wsj.com/LEilzL Apparently it was a drug overdose. This really hit me hard because he is, in my mind, one of the most amazing actors of all time. Even in the shittiest movies or the mediocre movies, he was fantastic, and he ...
