TCI List

Hi

Just a quick one - it appears my TCI List has been reduced from 2000 entries to 1000.

My sponsor membership is up to date as best I'm aware and I'm having no problems accessing any of the other sponsor features.

Please let me know if you require any further info.

Cheers

Missing Films (Sponsor Feature)

Looks like the "Missing Films" sponsor feature is currently out of action - getting the following error message when I try to load it up:

Error Message: Call to a member function contains_title() on array
/home/critic/public_html/missing.php - 44

Re: Only remember one scene

Danny DeVito's masterpiece The War Of The Roses (1989) - this would be the scene you are thinking of: https://youtu.be/LxMYNhlh0Tk

(Michael Douglas nails up the doors in the scene before, and washes his balls in the scene after).

Error adding Monsignor Quixote (1987) to the database

Hi all Hoping this is the right place to request this - wondering if it's possible to add Monsignor Quixote (1987) (m) to the database? It's flagged as a TV Series episode (of GREAT PERFORMANCES) but it is its own self contained adaptation of the Graham Greene novel (a pair of great autumn performan...

Re: Old movie name - if you can identify

You wouldn't be thinking of "village idiot" John Mills in RYAN'S DAUGHTER (1970) would you?

Scene I'm thinking of is at 1:25 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-bkquX1Bg8

Re: Science fiction movie with young twins and parallel universe maybe

Possibly UNDER THE MOUNTAIN? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1275861/

I watched it about a month ago and can't remember details (not a good sign) but I do remember a storm serving as a gateway to another world while Professor-ish Sam Neill looks on. Heroes are twin boy and girl teenage-ish kids.

Elle (2016)

Cold and impersonal thriller feels like an awkward mix of early Almodovar and DAYS OF OUR LIVES; Verhoeven unwisely seems to want to tone down his usually visceral and exciting directorial style in favour of a more 'respectable' tone; while staging of the violent scenes yields a few satisfying jump ...

The Key (1959)

Intriguing war drama which works best when dealing with the disconnect from personal relationships which can happen with serviceman - and the women they leave behind, as beautifully personified by hale and hearty Howard, and meek and cowed Loren. Had the film followed through on its opening passages...
