Re: Need help finding a movie

This sounds roughly like No Country For Old Men.

Re: Do you have Aphantasia?

I have the opposite but zero skill or talent to express anything in my imaginings (it's all mostly derivative of all the movies I've seen by now anyway). So it's nice to see things expressed, I guess, besides the natural escapist joy of any kind of story-telling or spectacle.

Re: Three minor bugs

I'm not volunteering because I don't actually have the time, but is submission approval something you could allow trusted users to moderate? Seems like this could be a simple task to delegate and free you up for more vital operations.

Re: Good job everyone

That's brilliant. I'm gonna start 0ing out all these lost films now. They must be pretty terrible if they're so dated they've gone straight out of existence right?

Re: Good job everyone

I assume they represent scores assigned by people who deeply researched papers of the time to find contemporary reviews and apply numerical value to the sentiment of the reviews so that while we might not have the film anymore, we can at least have it rated on a 1-10 scale.

Re: Good job everyone

So RavynLoony actually has alot of time to watch movies, so a large portion are legitimate. The ones that aren't are scores inputted using Imdb scores so they can increase PSIs in a genre (i.e. silent films) to find movies to watch for a podcast easier.

That's roughly the gist anyway.

I've asked this person to come enlighten us in this thread. I'm deeply interested now.

Re: (very) old movies

Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler is clearly influential on The Dark Knight so if you're into super-villains there you go.

Re: How often do you write Mini-Reviews?

If I don't jot something down, I'll forget the movie in a month. That said, I usually put off writing until I'm at the precipice of forgetfulness.
