Re: Banging pots out of windows in South America

Re: Social satire from the last 15 years?

I'd say that Idiocracy is more prophetic than satirical. Look at what's currently on the Top 40 charts and Top 10 at the box office. Are we really that far off from Ass: The Movie??? 50 years from now this might be considered a documentary. Anyways, to add to the list: Wag the Dog Thank You For Not...

Re: Worst movie of the summer

You know a big budget summer movie is going to be garbage when even the trailer looks bad. I mean, they were even able to make G.I. Joe: Retaliation look like a halfway decent movie. Re: Super Mario Bros. (1993)

City Lights is a Charlie Chaplin film right? I've been meaning to watch some of his films, but I've never known where to start. Would you recommend me starting with City Lights, or is there a Chaplin film I should see first? I'm hardly an expert on Charlie Chaplin or silent films in general. Just t...

Re: Super Mario Bros. (1993)

And as far as R-rated films go, I'm relatively young, and frankly, I don't feel comfortable watching graphic violence or sex. It's hard to watch and sucks the enjoyment out of the film for me. Granted, there are a couple R-rated films I've seen and liked (or even loved), and a couple I'm interested...

Re: Super Mario Bros. (1993)

Between this and Fred: The Movie (and maybe some others that I'm forgetting), I have to admit that your movie-watching choices both baffle and intrigue me. I keep wondering if you have an aversion to R-rated/adult material. Care to indulge my curiosity?
