Re: Industrialization movies set in America
I don't have any good suggestions for you at the moment. But, since you mentioned Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in the same breath as music/soundtracks, I'd like to submit the Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head bicycle scene as the #1 worst scene in an otherwise great movie. I guess I could thro...

Re: What's a sequel you want made?
I'd love to see a sequel to Wet Hot American Summer . There's a scene where they say they're all going to meet in 10 years (maybe it was 15)? It's been 12 years since it came out, but I think they could still pull it off. It would be especially fun because so many of the actors have gone on to great...

Re: Downloading Rankings
Confirming that the limit is exactly 1000 rankings. So it will give my info (score and mini-review) for the first 1000 films, and then only the film info (without score or mini-review data) for the remainder. Hope that helps.

Downloading Rankings
I had the same issue with all three formats for the download. It only has my information for a limited number of the movies. When I use some sort of filter, it gets the information for all the movies. It looks like there may be some arbitrary limit (maybe ~1000?) that it will give. All the movies sh...

Rise and Fall Stories
I love rise and fall stories -- Goodfellas and Boogie Nights being two of my favorite movies. Please feel free to add to the collection, which includes documentaries as well.

Re: Sci Fi 2014
Whatever your thoughts on Prometheus , it was clearly going to have a sequel. The story was written as a Part 1, not as a stand alone movie. I just hope they get an actual writer this time instead of that hack Damon Lindelof. A Christopher Nolan movie based on the theories of Kip Thorn (I assume wor...

Re: Class of Aught Six
Does anyone remember when criticker had that thing where you could compare your tci to various movie critics and see which had taste that was closest to your own? I googled around looking specifically for a site that could do that and found criticker. Looking back, it was kind of a stupid feature a...

That'll make things tough for me as my laptop doesn't have a disk drive. Oh well

Re: Informative Documentaries
I'm not sure if the BBC documentary series Planet Earth and Life would qualify for this discussion but, as they are included on this site, I'll go ahead and throw them out there. In addition to providing some great scientific insight into geology, evolution, adaptation, and animal behavior, they hav...
