i like that the C&A trailer has no music - could definitely be given a more "fun" vibe with a different soundtrack. but yeah the material itself is pretty dire

you didn't argue my point, did you. obviously the "real" problem is that, for the 50/50 representation in film school, only (say) 5% women get to be directors. well, there's not much that i as a viewer can do about that. what i can do is, say, make an effort to see more films made by women...

however it would be cool if, like in your doctor example, in certain circumstances when you say actor people wouldn't instantly think of a man :? hmm
