Re: The movie with the highest number of rankings you've never seen

I have 3 The Shawshank Redemption A Beautiful Mind Bruce Almighty A Beautiful Mind hasn't really been on my radar, though maybe one day as a fan of both Crowe and Howard. Bruce Almighty I was surprised to see up here. Did it have/does it have an illustrious repeats on Cable run? Or was it really ove...

Re: Secret Identity

This is a very broad request. I'll assume you're saying one that lends a fair portion of the drama to the secret, and I'll assume again that you'd like the mounds of batmans, spidermans, etc excluded. That said all I can think of is True Lies, but surely this isn't quite what you're looking for. Edi...

I'm not a frequent poster but even the amount of lurking I do has greatly diminished because of this.

Re: Personal Criticker Achievements

This would be the perfect companion piece to a mobile app. I'm glued to untappd for beer just for the juvenile thrill of getting "badges". Would be excellent for the site, but should we ever manage to see an app it would be a definite selling point on retaining active members.

Re: Final Toll for Horror?

-- people LOVE to be scared. It makes a lot of us feel alive. Man, I wish I could be scared at a horror film, but it's never happened since my early teens. I really wish I could find one - just one - that I find scary. I gave up looking years ago, but if anyone has a recommendation I'm listening......

Re: How do you rate movies you have seen a long time ago ?

Used to rate them, but as i re watched some and realized all i remembered was the feel of the films and not anything else and that rewatching might as well be a first watch, i stopped rating ones like this i come across. I do have a fairly bad memory, and my main reason for mini reviews is simply to...

Re: Went to a private screening of "The Walk" tonight...

I hate going to the theater on weekends and am a morning person so i frequently go to the first or second showing of the day so near empty theaters are the blissful norm for me. The only time I've had it utterly empty was when two friends and i went to a special meat loaf event back when bat out of ...

Re: Reading

I like dollar store books. I read one called Bust, here's amazon s synopsis: Wealthy, successful New York City business owner Max Fisher finds himself in a delightfully familiar scenario: he wants to get rid of his nagging wife so he can shack up with his sexy secretary, Angela Petrakos. When Angela...

Re: cliffhangers

I was mostly wondering if they had been the rarity i imagined them to be or if my recall was spotty. Star Trek did definitely have a very good interconnected trilogy i think although they lacked that "oh shit what next?" sting. Wasn't a big Bourne fan but hadn't thought of part 2s ending b...

cliffhangers

Watching back to the future 2 today got me thinking about movies with cliffhangers. They're super common now obviously so i was trying to think of others pre-2000 or pre Matrix Reloaded which is the last movie i saw without knowing going into it that its story would be told over two films( at least ...
