Re: Should Bandersnatch be counted as film or a video game?

Okay, so here's tough philosophical question, what exactly is Netlix's new interactive movie? It is a film with playable elements. It clearly exists in the spectrum of space between pure film and pure video game, but where do we draw the line between those two, and who gets to decide? Do we really ...

Re: 100 actors you cannot stand

14. Sandra Bullock- I know she is a part of the latest internet buzz with Bird Box but I have never really found her to be talented and to ever really be a stand out actress that was better or more talented than everyone else. Come on man stop trolling, You gave Gravity 86, she's the only fucking a...

11. Pierce Brosnan- Most of his films are really bland and his exit from the 007 franchise was far from graceful. I just never really bought into him and most of his films get a solid meh rating from me.

7. Vince Vaughn- I find him obnoxious and I find that all he contributes to his films is a bunch of yelling and incoherent dialogue. I just dont find him as funny as people think he is.

Re: Predication algoritm works less good for favorite movies?

I generally find since switching from the tier system to the percentile system that most of my PSI's are from 60 to 85 which also happens to be the bulk of where my ratings are. Perhaps it is attempting to categorize the scores based on the type of film. A lot of my lower rankings are cheesy C movie...

Re: Do I need to see more bad movies?

I don't think anyone really sits down to watch a film knowing they will hate it completely. I think we watch them to see if they have something redeeming still in them. It often feels like we jump to a conclusion that a film is bad thanks to things like RT scores and box office returns. Watching, re...

Bad Times at the El Royale

Visually and narratively pleasing it is elevated by fine performances by each one of the significant players including Bridges, Johnson and Hemsworth. Secrets, lies and tension were the name of the game and Bad Times at the El Royale kept it coming in droves and made you guess. It was fun, dark and ...

Re: An HP fan theory. Does it make sense?

Obviously not cannon, but I think it fits pretty well, especially with how utterly baffled the wizarding community is by muggle technology and social norms. They've definitely been out of the loop for a long time. It was funny at first, but then it started to feel like an incongruous element, or wa...

Re: Star Wars: Episode 9

IHowever, if it's a patchwork fit in to say goodbye yet again that's stupid. I get the feeling it's a lose-lose situation, but hopefully the rest of the story is crafted well enough that it'll only be a hiccup. One can only hope but based on how The Last Jedi ended it definitely feels like the char...
