Re: "Life of Pi"

Of course it's occurred to me that this issue may not be your cup o tea. I personally would love there to be a God and a happy-ever-after ending to life. i think it's a beautiful romantic theory. I personally subscribe to the reincarnation fantasy. However, I don't find the topic(s) very realistic ...

Re: 2012 Film Awards

I didn't see many of the movies you listed but did see many of the movies you didn't list. If you list "Premium Rush" in the top 10 of the 100 you saw, you must have seen some god-awful movies. Premium Rush was probably one of the worst, if not the worst, movie I saw in 2012. Of what you h...

Re: American schools

I can attest from my personal high school experience, likely due to the Hollywood dramatization, most American kids do in fact rush to grab their belongings and immediately leave the class at the sound of the bell. Obviously everyone is aware of the time the bell is suppose to ring and kids prepare ...

Re: "Life of Pi"

There was a story flaw that disappointed me, which was the awkward use of religion. It's not that i have anything against using religion in film, it's just that i felt the story heavily used religion towards the beginning to build-up the story but didn't clearly tie the two together at the ending. ...

Re: "Life of Pi"

Caught this movie recently and i agree that the ending wasn't to shabby, did the book justice. Differently some impressive Cinematography and Visual Effects, i thought at times it went a little to far and could have been more natural, but some great work from Ang Lee none-the-less. Shows some great ...

Re: Lincoln

I've got to admit, i've re-watched this movie, and it's grown on me. While my views on Lincoln hasn't changed, I re-watched it taking into consideration that this story ranges over a very brief time span (within days of the Amendment passing). Viewing it, in context to how difficult it is for our pr...
