Re: Markup not recognised on Forums page
In fact it looks like posts using markups disappeared from the forums altogether.
Here's my recent post in which I've used some [code] brackets viewtopic.php?p=69377#p69377
Gone.

Re: Additional feature on filmmaker list
What about some form of additive smoothing? ( Sum of percentiles + 25 ) / ( Number of ratings + 0.5 ) Filmmaker A from the opening post would have an adjusted rating of 80 and Filmmaker B would have an adjusted rating of 81.11. It effectively acts like giving every filmmaker half a movie with rating...

Re: Can't seem to be able to provide a link to a trailer when adding a new game
To clarify: I have no problem with adding trailers to existing games, it's when I'm adding a completely new game and provide a trailer during filling new game form (m) the trailer isn't being added. The form "Trailer" which is below "Genre" and above "Your Score" is ign...

Can't seem to be able to provide a link to a trailer when adding a new game
Last few days I've added a few games to the database and I've provided a link to youtube trailer for every single one of them, but on game's pages it always says "Invalid Trailer". An example would be this game m https://i.imgur.com/GR2IZ0s.gif For this game m I have provided the same yout...

Re: Criticker ranking system has one enormous flaw
I already added short descriptions to those examples, but I guess some longer interpretations would be nice anyway: Example 1 - User A rates all the movies they watch, even those they found not worthy of watching till the end, those movies just get low rating. On the other hand User B rates only mov...

Re: Different Versions of the Same Game
Compare Super Robin Hood on ZX Spectrum which is the one available to rate on Criticker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBqK8KIPSvo to Super Robin Hood from NES https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6FfVo6zwxY Sorry, but those are two completely different games, it's not only the graphics and sounds that...

Re: New game submissions aren't being approved
Obvious solution would be to import games from some existing bigger database, preferably IGDB. It's not the most complete database out there, but they have policy of sharing their data and their API is commonly praised. The other solution is to give some game accepting privileges for trusted members...

Re: Criticker ranking system has one enormous flaw
But quite obviously, it should be 0 This is not obvious at all since it assumes that what matters is the numerical score rather than the overall distribution: if a user's lowest score is 75, then that's the worst movie they've ranked. If instead of 26 movies they ranked 2600 movies, the...

Re: Are there TV shows where you hate one season and love another?
Game of Thrones is obvious and recent example. Other tv shows that differ vastly in quality between seasons or simply have seasons which tell separate stories I can think of right now are: Dexter, True Detective, Sherlock, Heroes, Terror, The Mentalist, The Killing, The Walking Dead, American Horror...
