Re: Recent rankings

djross wrote:Maybe it would even be worth having a separate page, "Recent reviews," listing say the last 50 rankings with reviews added.

Or do it with a filter like in the film database pages.

I like the idea!

Re: Post Awaiting Approval

Care to arrange one of your charts of this traffic? I still don't have some of the data from before the lifehacker post and things might be a little inaccurate, 'cause I've been checking the data manually, but ... ... here's the current graph of rankings on Criticker in the past four months. http:/...

Heh, cheer up, mate. You own the best film recommendation website on the interwebz ;). Maybe we should all buy mpowell and vincente a cake? When's your birthday? :D

Re: Post Awaiting Approval

I'm in Belgium at the moment, so I don't have the data here. When I go back home to the Netherlands in two weeks or so, where my computer updates the number every day, I'll make the graph which should then already give a nice comparison of the Mashable post versus the lifehacker post and then hopefu...

"Not enough info" PSI's in Recommendations?

Can somebody explain the reasoning behind films listed in the Recommendations section for which my PSI is "not enough info"?

Why recommend something if you don't know whether I'll like it? And how can you recommend movies that have not a single rating on Criticker? **confuddled**

Re: Post Awaiting Approval

Is this bad major traffic or good major traffic? If good, where is it coming from?

EDIT: Never mind... I see we are featured on LifeHacker and MakeUseOf. Cool :). I'm curious whether the effect will be larger than that from the Mashable post. ;)

Don't apologize. The more people request it, the higher the chances the feature will be implemented ;).

Exactly ;) . I wasn't advocating against building the feature... just pointing out that their really is no point using it. :geek:

Re: That IMDB account

[...] if you want a user like IMDB to stop contributing to your PSIs, it'll be possible. Which mathematically make very little sense. The only reason you should want to kick out TCI's is when a user is inactive and thus won't be rating new movies coming out, or when a user's ratings are obviously e...

Re: That IMDB account

Mathematically speaking, if imdb is your #132 TCI, it means imdb is a reasonable indicator for your movie taste. If it wasn't, it wouldn't be your #132 TCI. The imdb account only influences your PSI's when your movie taste is similar to the imdb population's movie taste. It may bother you, but it's ...
