Re: clicking on a genre

Thanks for pointing that out. There was a minor bug on the film info page for the genre links, which has now been repaired.

Re: A bunch of my rankings appears to have vanished

I just ranked one movie (At Close Range). My number of rankinkgs go from 1629 to 1631.... The film database page shows '1631 films ranked' and 1629 films as 'your rankings'.... I've looked at your account -- the discrepancy is due to a couple ratings you've made for films which are still in "p...

Re: A bunch of my rankings appears to have vanished

Hi all, After being featured on Lifehacker we had to distribute the rankings across a number of tables, in order to be able to continuing functioning. During that conversion, we forget to grab the "0" scores. The error has now been corrected -- your 0 scores should be back. Sorry about tha...

Re: Daily reviews

One of the enhancements we have filed is for an RSS feed (and perhaps a blog-like page) for all the mini-reviews which users write. This sounds exactly like what you've suggested. As with all things we do, it might take awhile to get to, but it is slated for the future :)

Re: Where have all the users gone?

Seems like user rankings are being systematically deleted as well (at least from my view)? ? To me Back To The Future II is now full of missing rankings (and not in the way it was before, now the users are there, but no ranking is present - instead of the user and ranking being missing). Is this pa...

Re: Where have all the users gone?

Last night, we got hit by a flood of traffic, which brought the site down and required us to make some massive changes to the database. All the data is still there, but won't show up until after its been converted into the new tables. That conversion is still underway -- you'll notice more and more ...

Re: Your own best TCI?

Yeah, we made some performance tweaks to the nightly TCI generation, and this was an unintended side-result. We're taking care of it, so it won't be an issue much longer. Sorry!

Re: That IMDB account

One improvement we have coming down the road will be the ability to "ignore" select users. That way, if you want a user like IMDB to stop contributing to your PSIs, it'll be possible.

Re: Ability to delete created lists

Thanks for that suggestion -- deleting and editing created lists are functions which we're still working on, made complicated by the fact that we don't want to allow deletion of lists after a lot people have ranked them. For the meantime, it doesn't hurt too much to have duplicate lists. But we'll b...
