Re: Check your library's website, some are offering free streaming services

My library+hoopla has a vastly superior filn selection to Netflix for both new and old releases, that's for sure. Couple of caveats to this is that hoopla isn't HD and the number of titles you can borrow monthly is limited( my library used to be generous with 12; it's recently been reduced to 7). Ho...

Re: Share your wishlist

Oh boy 1600. My heart breaks for you. My feeble 350 or so gives me an odd anxiety every now and again...i can't imagine a list this massive. My own is mostly oddball obscure stuff or rarely talked about films from the directors/actors i like that i come across. The kind of movies that I'm afraid I'l...

Re: My childhood scariest horror movie.

This is a long shot, and I've never seen it all the way through but the awful Chuck Norris movie Hellbound has elements like you describe. As do a large number of films, unfortunately, so this could be a long process of elimination. I can't imagine the rest of the film being actually scary, but if y...

Re: Finally It's Here: Mobile-Friendly Criticker

On Android if I search a film but don't go directly to its page the search results list won't show me my ranking on any films I've ranked...they all display the PSIs. Thanks for this catch! I think we've fixed this up. Could you let us know if it looks better? Yes rankings are showing on the search...

To balance that out with something of quality, and for something that is too obscure with only 72 ratings here, try

Shower (1999)

I found it moving, charming, and authentic and you can figure something that can move the type of guy who'll recommend Ernest has got to be pretty genuine.

Re: edkrak's 3000 aka Make me watch that movie!

What's the easiest way to find if a person has ranked a film? I'm having a hell of a time trying to make sure and filing through full rankings is tedious. That being said, it seems the following is not in your rankings (aplogies if my clumsy sleuthinh is wrong) and it's the perfect time of year for:...

sharing minireviews

Is the only way to share mini reviews on social media the permalink? I see the "share" button seems to only share the film not my review. However, the permalink just pulls up the normal page with my review top of the list on the right? This really isn't the prettiest way to share, and thos...

Re: What's a horror movie?

Well horror's number one intent is to cultivate a fear as its means of entertainment...fear of ghosts, fear of being multilated and worn as somebody's mask, fear that your neighbor has a very violent and illegal hobby...and it tries to make this fear a visceral personal experience. And to me, for ex...
