Re: Marilyn Monroe, Lousy Actress

I've only seen her in Monkey Business and Seven Year Itch and that's all it took to decide I would rather avoid anything that contains her in a starring role. (despite being featured prominently on the movie poster, she's in the film for about 5 minutes). That annoys me almost as much as her terribl...

Give a guy a gun, he thinks he's Superman. Give him two and he thinks he's God.

Re: What's your average score?

Im not about to calculate it exactly but my tier 5 is mid 60s. Im very close to being one of those "every movie possible regardless of quality" viewers and still don't land at 50. My general rating rule is above 70 is worth re watching. 60-70 is worth a watch once. 50-60 is somewhat below ...

Re: "Mad Max: Fury Road"

Just really curious about the "half-life" thing, and the weird tumors. The fallout was at least 20 years ago if this is the 4th film in the franchise (and not a reboot). if we assume 20 years, it's still within a reasonable timeframe that the people parenting these kids would have mutated...

Re: Feedback Request: Starting a Movie Blog

i would say that it's fascinating, and i can't think of anything to add into your number crunching. i'll also say that i'm mathematically a total moron, so maybe someone else should come along and comment on your equations instead of me. if this is for math/movie geeks it's certainly spot on(i think...

Re: "Mad Max: Fury Road"

Did anybody really understand the plot? I mean, I got that the sexy bitches were the fat guy's wives and were being stolen, but why wasn't he fucking Charlize fucking Theron? And who were the fat chicks with the milk titties? And why were all the albino kids dying and having tumors and stuff? And w...

Re: Great Movie-Watching Runs (And What They Do to You)

I've seen three films in three months. just reading that makes me tremble! im a certifiable junkie, i try to watch a movie every single day. i even got into a work schedule where i was only seeing about 1 movie a week and got withdrawals! i was anxious and irritable and depressed and panicky -- unt...
