The Crash Reel

Post by ayall »

A documentary I must recommend.

It's about a douche bag pompous-ass snowboarder, Kevin Pearce, who pretty much gets what he deserves; knocked off the top of the success mountain the exact second he reaches the top.

The film makes you feel for the poor guy at the end, and that's one of the most amazing aspect of this documentary... you start off hating Pearce and over the span of the film you relate and really do feel for the guy.
Seeing him come to truth with reality and accept that his dreams are completely gone is rather jaw dropping.

The film also tackles the very interesting topic of extreme spots.
How far is to far for entertainment?
Seeing a guy on a dirt bike go up 100+ feet in the air, lose control of his bike, and then free fall to his death?
That's some crazy ass shit.

If not for the above aspects, you should at-least check it out for the incredible crash reel compilation it delivers in the middle of the film.
