with a minimum 10 films (128 actors), and excluding animation, silent era & Turkish actors, most of whom are not known outside the country and would cover all the lists.

10) Nicolas Cage (14) 37.50
9) Arnold Schwarzenegger (10) 37.50 --
8) Woody Harrelson (10) 37.10 --
7) Tom Cruise (14) 36.79 --
6) Matt Damon (12) 36.58 --
5) Scarlett Johansson (11) 36.18 --
4) Sandra Bullock (10) 36.10 --
3) Jim Carey (12) 34.08 --
2) Michael Caine (12) 32.25 -- nothing to do with him; but because of his participation in every damn Nolan film
1) Sylvester Stallone (13): 21.54 -- for obvious reasons. his part in Woody Allen's Bananas raises his average!

with this threshold, A-list actors pop on the list and doesn't tell much. If I lower the minimum to 4:

10) Moe Howard (4) 18.75 -- 3 stooges
9) Laurie Holden (4) 18.75
8) Elizabeth Banks (8) 16.13 -- but she is hot
7) Michael Winslow (6) 14.33 -- Police Academy
6) Oliver Platt (4) 13.25
2) Bubba Smith, David Graf, Leslie Easterbrook, Steve Guttenberg (4-5) 11.25-9.60 -- Police Academy
1) Kim Coates (4) 7.50

And with the lowest minimum 3, it is Jennifer Lopez (3) 7.33

A romantic comedy with the leads of Stallone and Lopez will be the cinematic nightmare for me

I re-ranked Eddie Murphy's stand-up, which pulls him off the list completely. It does make room for Robin Williams, though.

I've seen 22 Robin Williams films, and 9 of them are tier 2 and lower. I hate most of his "serious" films, like Bicentennial Man, Patch Adams, and Jack. He made his top 5 films back before I graduated high school, like Good Will Hunting and Aladdin. Can you believe he made Flubber the same year he did Good Will Hunting? His best movie and his worse. Fuck, that dude must have gone through some serious emotional swings. Can't even enjoy his high.

10. Michael Gough (25.83 - 6 films)
9. Eddie Murphy (25.60 - 5)
8. Will Smith (24.67 - 6)
7. Dick Miller (24.00 - 4)
6. Jude Law (23.50 - 8) -- {I really like him as an actor, but he appears in a lot of bad movies.}
5. Richard Roxburgh (19.75 - 4)
4. Monica Bellucci (17.75 - 4)
3. Angelina Jolie (17.20 - 5)
2. John Leguizamo (14.00 - 4)
1. Andrew Bryniarski (10.75 - 4) -- {Credits include Street Fighter, Batman Returns, Hudson Hawk, & the remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Wow. Looking at the unranked stuff, he's definitely an actor whose movies to avoid.

I've done some research on Frank Welker, and even though he's in a slew of shit films doing various noises and voices, he seems like a great guy. And really talented. I think if you tallied up international box office gross based entirely on whether you're in a film or not, despite the size of your role, Frank Welker is easily on top of that list. I'd wager he's over $20 billion in total box office gross. And that's no small feat. I just wanted to post that in this thread because I always mention not knowing Frank Welker, and his profile here on Criticker simply does not do the guy justice.

With a minimum of 10 movies:

1. Joan Simms (29.52 - 21 movies)
2. Kenneth Williams (29.55 - 22 movies)
3. Sid James (30.00 - 18 movies)
4. Kenneth Connor (30.83 - 12 movies)
5. Steven Seagal (31.00 - 10 movies)
6. Charles Hawtrey (32.27 - 22 movies)
7. Stan Brakhage (34.74 - 19 movies)
8. Pierce Brosnan (39.00 - 10 movies)
9. Jason Statham (39.09 - 11 movies)
10. Cameron Diaz (40.00 - 10 movies)

Numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 are because of "Carry On..." movies

Steven Seagal and Jason Statham are because of dumb action movies

Pierce Brosnan and Cameron Diaz were slightly surprising but I really disliked a lot of Brosnan's Bond movies and pretty much any chick flick that Cameron Diaz has been in

Stan Brakhage - I really don't like his stuff much but his stuff is so short that you can easily notch up the view count in no time flat.

It's almost been a year since I updated my list.

10. Danny Trejo, 55.45, 11 films
His BEST movie was the spoof film, Machete. Everything else has been low budget action films, shit tier action films, and shit comedy films.

9. John Travolta, 54.95, 21 films
Other than Pulp Fiction, he's been in a handful of mediocre films and a whole lot of shit.

8. Jon Lovitz, 54.58, 12 films
He was in Big, and then a bunch of crap comedies and animated shit fest.

7. Gerard Butler, 54.3, 10 films
How to Train Your Dragon and RocknRolla were both pretty good. The shitty action movies and his occasional foray into romantic comedy was not.

6. Janeane Garofalo, 54, 11 films
Shit tier comedian stars in shit tier comedies.

5. Sylvester Stallone, 53, 13 films
Stallone is synonymous with shitty action films.

4. Frank Welker, 51.92, 26 films
Now that I'm familiar with his work, I don't blame him for being a very prolific voice actor. But what movies need voice sound effects? Shitty movies.

3. Adam Sandler, 51.73, 15 films
He made one or two great comedies, and then started churning out shittier and shittier comedies until the funniest thing about him is his career.

2. Oliver Platt, 51.6, 10 films
That guy that's always in a support role in a bunch of shitty movies. Easily recognizable, never good enough to star.

1. Rob Schneider, 46.21, 14 films
The only actor who scores below a 50. In my ranking system, anything above a 50 was enjoyable enough to not stand up and leave the room in the middle of the movie. It kept my attention. Scoring below a 50 means that if Rob Schneider came up to me on the street and started a conversation, I would ignore him and walk away.

Saved from disgrace: Patrick Wilson and Larry Miller who were on my previous list. They still rank very low.

Current - 10 film minimum

10th - Owen Wilson (35.10 / 10) ...Would be much lower on this list if it weren't for "Inherent Vice".
9th - Forest Whitaker (33.70 / 10) ...Able actor who has made bad choices.
8th - Frank Welker (32.58 / 19) ...Voice acting in bad animated movies.
7th - Bruce Willis (31.79 / 19) ...I love him, but sans "Die Hard" and "12 Monkeys" he has made the worst choices.
6th - Robert Englund (30.90 / 10) ...I watched all the "Nightmares" but didn't think they were very good.
5th - Jim Carrey (29.14 / 14) ..."Man on the Moon" was okay.
4th - Malcolm McDowell (28.92 / 13) ...I'm not a fan of that Clockwork Orangy thing they cast him for.
3rd - Arnold Schwarzenegger (26.12 / 17) ...He is lucky he was in "The Long Goodbye".
2nd - Keith David (26.00 / 13) ..."The Thing" keeps him from taking 1st place.
1st - Clive Owen (24.60 / 15) ...to be fair it's mainly due to his participation in the BMW commercial shorts.

Shannon Elizabeth 21.25 4
Hulk Hogan 20.00 5
Gailard Sartain 17.50 4
Pauly Shore 12.50 4

That was my list 5 years ago.

Currently:

Steve Guttenberg 23.33 6
Larry Hankin 22.50 4
Alyson Hannigan 22.50 4
Kelly Preston 22.50 4
Michael Shannon 22.14 7
Kieran Culkin 21.25 4
Hulk Hogan 20.00 5
Devin Ratray 18.75 4
Tim Allen 18.00 5
Pauly Shore 12.50 4

Interestingly:

- 3 of the users on my current list featured in the absolutely abysmal piece of shit Home Alone (Ratray, Culkin and Hankin).
- It's reassuring to know that as terrible as Hollywood sometimes seems, there's currently no one working who is worse than Pauly Shore.
- Nice to see Tim Allen assuming an appropriate position of shame.
- Surprised to see Michael Shannon pop up here....he's a decent character actor who I've liked in a couple of things, but seems to consistently make terrible choices when selecting his roles. Pearl Harbor, Kangaroo Jack, Jonah Hex and Bad Boys II are dragging him WAY down.
- Eva Mendes made it off the list only because I deleted my rating for Ghost Rider (as I felt scoring it a ZERO for immediately putting me to sleep was a bit harsh...since I didn't actually see any of the film)...she no longer meets the 4 film minimum requirement.
- Shannon Elizabeth was pulled off the list because she was added to the cast for Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, which is miles better than anything else shes been in, bringing her average way up.
