I thought at first the main character was Deniro but now I am not sure. There is a family of three that a cop/detective is looking after. After he apparently saves them the teenage daughter tries to come on to him while he is driving and when he refuses they scuffle and it causes him to drive off a cliff and wreck.
Anyone know this movie?

Cliff scene sounds like The Man Who Wasn't There, but the cop/detective part doesn't fit.
