There is a mother, daughter and grandmother who do not get along. The daughter is arrested for a crime, and during the hearing the mother goes on a tirade, and admits to the crime. She drives back to her artist's studio in tears, takes an artist’s tool and stabs a portrait of her mother repeatedly, before stabbing herself with it. I think this movie is from the 60s or 70s.
