Filming of reality show gets out of hand

Frankly, I'm not sure if this was a movie, a book or a limited-run TV series.

Of the few details I can recall, there were contestants in a house, like Big Brother, and I guess one contestant does something that is minorly against the rules and they all expect a producer to come in and discipline them, but nothing happens so things start to escalate. I'm not sure how far it goes, but I think someone at least gets punched out. Possibly there's a murder? Sorry I can't remember more, but if this sounds familiar to you, I'd love to know what I watched!
