Hope someone can help me find this old movie I watched many years ago.
Its plot is similar to Gladiator(2000). The release date should before 2010, but should be not too early because it has some special effects that came later than 70s, but I might be wrong. It is also not "The Fall of the Roman Empire", or "the Arena". I also did not find it in this list: "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category: ... ial_combat", but still not 100%, still could be wrong.
Plot is approximately like this:
A roman general/officer was framed treason and had to fight against, and eventually overthrown the enemy.
I remembered one scene he was forced into gladiator fight, but felt shame for it because he mentioned that these good soldiers died in gladiator fight instead of the battle field. But he was still forced to execute his fellows by stab them at the back.
I think it should be a film, but if someone know a TV similar to it, it also might be. It is also not from Spartacus series, but could some episode of Rome ?
