Love and Sword

Post by hotsake »

This film borders on the fantasy genre with its mix of wire work, special effects and more grounded fights. Usually with these types of films the fights have the actors flying, and using all sorts of other tricks to make them seem more powerful and while you do get that here too a lot of the fights are more grounded and show off the actors real skills. The story is very basic and most of the characters are not fleshed out or are only given walk on fight scenes. As mentioned earlier the fights were mostly grounded and well done, some of the fights were at night or in the dark which made them hard to see. The acting was okay and serviceable for the story but no one stood out one way or the other. This was a solid, entertaining film which I found to be a good find. More people should checkout this little gem.
