Mr. and Mrs. 55

Setting aside the uncomfortable and at times painful gender and role politics for a moment, remember this was a different time and place, and while that doesn't make it right you still need to put those things in perspective. Anyway on to the film itself. The first half with its classic romantic comedy tropes were fun and lighthearted and generally very entertaining but the film stumbles a bit in the more dramatic second half, now its not bad but the female lead's sudden emotional about face and the film's tonal shift were too abrupt and really hurt the rest of the movie for me and to have the last 45 minutes of a 2.5 hour movie feel rushed was not a good thing.
