The distracting camera work and editing were done to make the scenes feel more intense but really it just made everything feel cheap and lazy. The fights and choreography were poorly handled and filmed which is a shame because Rina Takeda is really impressive when given the chance to shine. There's only one decent fight and the film ends with a lame final encounter and then states that the story is only half told but guess what the movie ends and we never get the rest or a sequel, actually I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
