Bowfinger's public 9 minute penny drop was definitely some comfort for returning to the thread that had been moving as fast as a glacier for weeks and seeing I missed out on 2 images in the last 24 hrs I would have immediately recognised!

Yes, sometimes it's just lucky timing of when you log in, as i recognized little Joey from one of my fave comedies immediately as well.

Feels like UHF, though (1) I don't think that took place in Detroit and (2) the aspect ratio seems far too cinematic. So I'll guess UHF with 100% confidence in being wrong.
