Whereas I would have gone with vertigo nightmare lighting and police sirens; arm shaking, profuse weeping as he raises his spoon. Years of gradual desensitising had culminated in this moment.
Just as the spoon is going into his mouth, the screen cuts to black and we never know.

Sorry, I probably gave the wrong impression there by identifying the breed in my last post. The pug is irrelevant in the film and is only in one very short scene. I just liked the image of the tape over it's butthole to prevent it from soiling the pavement. That's the aspect that is tonally relevant to the film rather than the dog itself.
