Yeah, probably so. But I think I'm the only one stuck in the middle between Indies and mainstream--after discarding almost all the horror, monster, evangelical and subtitled stuff, out-of-hand. It's lonely at the top.....and bottom.....of the middle.

Are you counting Black Swan and 2001 as musicals. If so, I'm sure I'd have plenty, and some traditional musicals as well--They were about the only thing worthwhile before the 60s. And generally speaking, the Golden Age of Cinema started at 2000, with the best being better and the waste being more awful.
