Re: Favorite Actresses
Here's 10 in no particular order: Pam Grier, Claudia Cardinale, Meiko Kaji, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Juliette Lewis, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Yeoh, Kara Hui, Natalie Portman, Reiko Ike
Note that all these ladies might not necessarily be the best actresses, but frequently appear in the sort of genre cinema I enjoy most.

I almost picked Michelle Yeoh too. Just saw Meiko Kaji for the first time in Lady Snowblood the other day, I've got to check out more of her stuff.

Re: Favorite Actresses
For Meiko Kaji, I highly recommend "Female Prisoner 701: Scorpion" and "Jeans Blues: No Future". "Wandering Ginza Butterfly" isn't bad, either. She also has a pretty good supporting role in Kinji Fukasaku's awesome "Yakuza Graveyard"
also, props for including Olivia Colman on your list. a very funny comedic actress with some serious dramatic chops to boot.

Thanks for the recommendations. Yakuza Graveyard was the only one of those already on my radar

Juliette Binoche I like quite a lot, she's someone I just need to see more from. Somehow I don't think I've seen anything with Isabelle Huppert, though I've been meaning to.

I like all of them quite a lot. If I did my list to top 30; Mary Louise Parker and Rosario Dawson would definitely be on there.
