A few more questions: untitled episodes are usually listed as "Episode 1", "Episode 2" etc. everywhere — except on IMDB, where they list them as "Episode #1.1", "Episode #1.2" and so on.

Which way should they be added on Criticker?

And how should special episodes be added?

Would it be possible to get ratings for seasons too? There's already in place a new season page where the episodes are listed; it could just go there.
Thanks for all the comments on the new functionality! And also for your questions and bug-spotting. We've written them down and will be fixing the issues or addressing the questions in the coming days.

One of the more frequent questions concerns the ability to rate seasons. That functionality doesn't currently exist, and won't be quite as easy to implement as it might seem. All titles in Criticker have an IMDB ID which helps us distinguish them, and TV Seasons don't have this. Before we could allow for the rating of seasons, we'd have to implement some new logic to get around this, allow for their submission, track duplicates, etc.

I'm not saying that's impossible, or that we won't do it -- in fact, we do have plans to look into it. Just wanted to provide some context on why it's not done already.

Episodes that have already been included in a "standalone" kind of way (before this new option) aren't included under the series name, and so aren't available to see in the "episode guide" for the series: what is the best way of having them added?
Please use the "Other" Updates in the Film Information page, letting us know the series and the season/episode information. That will be the best way to let us know, as it links our moderators directly to the admin page.

Thanks for the question!

I personally prefer just rating the entire series. Is that going to still be an option?

Not sure if it's intended but it's not possible to add episodes do miniseries
We've fixed this up, and mini-series are now able to have their individual episodes submitted! Thanks for pointing this out!

In general, episodes which have their own title don't need to have the series name prepended.
Example: The Wire, Season 2, Episode 3 is called "Hot Shots", and looks better like that, than like "The Wire: Hot Shots"
https://www.criticker.com/tv/Hot-Shots-2003/

However, episodes which are just titled with numbers, or called "Pilot", should have their series names prepended. ("Series-Name: Episode 2"). Because otherwise, we'll end up with tons of titles with the same name.
It's fine to leave Season and Episode blank, when those distinctions don't mean anything. They're not required fields.

Thanks for these questions!!

- When submitting an episode, if you have to 'go back' before submitting, the textboxes for main series URL and season/episode # are blank again. If possible, it would be nice if these were remembered like the other fields.
This should be fixed now! Thanks for pointing it out!

Just realizing I missed a few questions!

Should we be reporting series that still have their individual episodes listed as entries in the franchise rather than episodes of the show? Like The Twilight Zone (2019)
Yes, the preferred way to show these will be as individual episodes belonging to the series. Using the "Franchise" option was a workaround, but it'd be better to have them listed properly as episodes of a series.

- Are the main series and individual episode's collection affiliation completely separate? As in adding/removing an episode to a collection will never affect the main series and vice-versa?
Yes, they are completely separate :)
