Site redesign?

Hello =)
I have been testing a lot of similar sites and criticker is, in fact, one of the best. The only thing that brings it down is the "simple" design that doesn't follow some of the new looks of the internet ( on the same subject, letterboxd and trakt.tv for example ) . This is not a critic and the design itself won´t make the goal of the site better or worst , we can´t really criticize someone that does so much work to bring us good sites, i was just wondering if there´s a layout redesign in your future plans.

Thank in advance and keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback! We don't have any specific plans lined up, but constantly make little tweaks to the look. One day, we'll probably get to a huge site redesign.

Welcome to Criticker

Personally, the simplicity of the site design is one of the things that draws me to it.

Some slight redesign wouldn't hurt, but I hope that Criticker will never change into something similar to this trakt.tv. I hate those modern websites designed for analphabets, filled with big pictures and almost nothing beside that. :roll:

I think if you just simply change the font to something better it would make the site about a million times better

I agree with most sentiments here. trakt.tv, as well as many like it, looks awful. The only gripes I have with the Criticker site design is the fact that I'm on a 1920 pixels wide monitor and Criticker only takes up about half that. Seems like one could be able to utilize extra space when the display size allows it to reduce scrolling in instances like mini reviews on film pages, films in common on profile pages, etc. As well as # of films displayed on a page in the database, if it were to adjust this dynamically based on window size.

Probably a bit hard to implement, but that's the kind of site redesign that's useful in my opinion. Criticker doesn't look dazzling but it does the job more than sufficiently, and better than many space-wasting "modern" site designs. :)

Also it´s not about the design or colors; for example i love the way actors page is arranged; Wish our rating page was like that =)
For my it´s a layout issue and to much "white", and trakt was just an example, the general idea of the site is totally different from critiker

I'll echo the sentiment of many others here; the user interface of Criticker is simple, neat, and efficient. I like that. The last thing I want is a huge site redesign that makes things prettier but the site slower and more cumbersome to navigate.

I like the design and don't want it changed if that's gonna take even a slight performance hit. But I'm for Rufflesack's resizability idea.
