Can't seem to be able to provide a link to a trailer when adding a new game

Post by MTR »

Last few days I've added a few games to the database and I've provided a link to youtube trailer for every single one of them, but on game's pages it always says "Invalid Trailer".

An example would be this game https://games.criticker.com/game/CONSORTIUM/

For this game https://games.criticker.com/game/Desire-2016/ I have provided the same youtube link after creating a new game and it works... whilst still saying "Invalid Trailer" below the video.

Ah, that message is a little ambiguous.

"Invalid Trailer" is a link which allows you to report that a trailer is invalid. Like, if someone has uploaded a trailer for the wrong game or film, you could click on that link and report it. It should always appear.

I'm not sure however, why your trailer didn't work. I added it again with just the YouTube ID (hVss85E1y5E) and now it's loading okay :)

To clarify: I have no problem with adding trailers to existing games, it's when I'm adding a completely new game and provide a trailer during filling new game form (https://games.criticker.com/submissions/) the trailer isn't being added. The form "Trailer" which is below "Genre" and above "Your Score" is ignored.

Ah, sorry about misunderstanding! Alright, thanks for the extra information ... we'll take a look and update here when we've got it fixed up.
