Re: remasters and compilations
I would not have separate entries at all except for extreme, exceptional circumstances. 99.9% of games should have just one entry. I can't think of one good reason why there should be separate entries for any game. New characters, new modes, new/updated graphics, new missions, remakes, remasters, et...

Re: Difference between ignoring a movie and rating it 0?
I can't say for sure, but my understanding is that ignoring a title has no effect on your PSI's of other titles. If you ignore a title, you will no longer have a PSI for that title, plus since you haven't rated the ignored title, the ignored title won't influence your TCI. If the ignored title doesn...

Re: Make TV its own subsection like Games
I think the big question is whether there is a correlation (between taste in movies and taste in TV shows) strong enough that the PSI system is accurate for both movies and TV. If yes, then it should be okay to keep TV and Movies together so long as the full database allows for easy filtering. If no...

Re: What happens to tiers if a user only rates movies he likes?
This is an issue, because: -I try to watch movies that I'll like. -Criticker suggests to me movies that I'll like. Thus it seems that the better Criticker works, the more skewed the system will be, because I'll have a ton of liked movies (70+) and few less than 40. I just signed up today, and I'm o...

Re: Daily regeneration doesn't properly propagate to full database
Quick update. You may want to investigate whether daily regeneration is occurring properly. On my special features page, it says "The last regeneration occured on Dec 24, 08:27." I noticed last week it skipped a day as well. (Also, I think occurred might be misspelled, unless it's spelled ...

Daily regeneration doesn't properly propagate to full database
My understanding is a subscriber should get a full regeneration of every entry in the database every day. During or right after this regeneration, the new PSI for each entry (or lack of a PSI if there isn't one) that was just generated should be pushed (aka propagated) to the full database . So if I...

Re: How is it better to watch movies at home?
Another option hopefully available within the next few years is a virtual reality theater using VR goggles. I want to lay on my bed looking up at the ceiling in a pitch black room and see a giant movie theater size screen above me. There are VR apps now that can do this, but the technology isn't goo...
