nope for all the guesses. 1. Last film of a famous director. 2. Main cast consists of the locals of where the film took place in. 3. Director is most famous for his work in Germany, he made a few films in Hollywood too.

Also, Don't forget Murnau's "City Girl". It was released on DVD not very long ago, and I find it strangely unappreciated. It is almost as good as "Sunrise".

Yeah, I'd check out just about anything of Murnau. That's just the one I'd be more willing to blind-buy. on to the clues: 1. A loose remake of a famous 30s movie 2. Bold use of a technicolor style when that form was long gone
