I'll occassionally when bored, go through and ignore a bunch of films while going through "rank more films" -particularly when certain films keep coming up a LOT. But I go through and un-ignore them later, as some of them are films that I do want to see, but I'm just sick of them coming up when I'm looking for movies I've seen but haven't ranked yet.
So the ignore feature does have one really good use.
ignoring films
Re: ignoring films
I ignore films that I've seen but don't remember well enough to give a rating or feel like I could rate accurately (i.e. documentaries--which I find are hard to compare to other films).

i wouldnt have used the word intelligence but i think i use it for the same purpose:
Borat: Cultural Learnings ... (2006)
Harold & Kumar Escape from... (2008)
Harold and Kumar Go to Whi... (2004)
and the next movie being ignored will be Bruno
