I find it strange to see a discussion about "the best HORROR movies", contain so many movies that are obviously not horror. These are just a few of the mentioned that are not even close to horror:
Black Swan (drama)
Oldboy (thriller)
The Village (thriller)
Club Dread (comedy)
Starship Troopers (sci-fi/action)
Twilight (bowel movement)
It takes more than a fantasy setting, a drop of blood, a monster/alien, someone dying, or general tension to make a horror movie. Otherwise every animated disney classic should be classified as horror.
That being said, I also find it strange that no one has mentioned the scariest and most unsettling movie to come out in decades: A Serbian Film
