Hmmm? I always thought Fink is one of the better known of Coen's. But if this is the case I'm sure that movie is powerful enough to gain recognition anytime, even decades later.
Sullivan's Travels is perversely insightful about Hollywood mechanism in the least intentional way. If the picture it takes wasn't so gullible, I would hate my guts out of it. If people can't live a proper life out of class discrimination, we better give them false portraits of happiness. Is this the message Sturges is trying to communicate? I wouldn't dare know .
