Search by AKA

Post by movieboy »

I think searching for a film by the AKA film name will be a useful feature. The AKA name coming up in the search box while typing would be great to have but if not at least the AKA film in the results will be nice

Thanks for that suggestion! The AKA is considered when you search for something, but you're right -- we don't show that AKA in the list of results, so it can be a little confusing.

We'll look into adding this! Having it appear in the Auto-Complete would be a little more difficult, but we can look into that as well... I'll file it as a separate idea.

It doesn't seem to show

I am searching for "The Investigation" which is AKA of https://www.criticker.com/tv/Efterforskningen/

https://www.criticker.com/?search=the+i ... type=films

The movie doesn't show in the results

Huh... shoot. You're right, with that one. I had tested with a different AKA, that seemed to work:
Lang tzu yi chao, which is an AKA for The Legendary Strike.

I think what's happening is that "The Investigation" returned results from the initial title-name search, so didn't move onto AKAs. We'll take a look into this!

Alright, this has been fixed! From now on, you should be seeing the results that you might reasonably expect during a search. Thanks so much for pointing this out!
