superflous arrow

I guess this isn't of very high importance, but I'm wondering if the arrow in front of the PSI on each and every movie's page have any funtion whatsoever? And if not, why not remove it?

On a scale of 1 through 100, it's pointing to the spot where your PSI stands. I think the arrow is spot on (pun intended).
