The Demon King Janus, ruler of the continent, was slain by Chiffon's army, an event that should have heralded eternal peace for humankind. However, peace did not come to the world following the demise of the Demon King. Long-slumbering rivalries awoke on the now ruler-less continent. Religion, race, beliefs were all fuel for strife.
