Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred (2026) - Rated 18 Sep 2026
Satisfying ending. For all the weaknesses of Diablo IV (which sadly include gameplay and itemization…), the art direction is incredible and the story is pretty well written. I had complaints, they dealt with them. It's good they stopped after this expansion, there's no amount of iterating that can save this game's issues.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls (2014) - Rated 18 Sep 2026
Oof, rough start to this one. Trainwreck of a game, poor story poor writing poor art poor systems poor everything, salvaged by good combat mechanics, a fine expansion, and years of fine tuning the lategame. Still fun to rush through when a new season starts, but there's not much to do past a few hours of grinding.

Eventually the uniqueness starts to wear off, and the new concepts in this game aren't that cool.
