The "Type" field is visible and settable. The problem is that it is populated with values from the Films side of the site: {"Film", "Short Film", "TV Series", ... , "TV Special"}. The field is also required.
Usually this is populated with "Base Game" or "Expansion".

Re: James May: Our Man In...
Actually, you don't need "Other" to submit an update to Summary, if that helps.

James May: Our Man In...
The database has an entry for a TV series: James May: Our Man in Japan . But, according to both PrimeVideo and IMDB, it is the second season (or as they say in some countries, "series") of James May: Our Man in ... We do not have either the first series (Italy) or the third series (India). My inclin...

Re: Franchises issue
This also happens with Developers and Publishers on the videogame site. e.g., if you start by clicking on the Developer on a title page, you get a database listing of everything the dev has worked on. Applying a new filter (or a new ordering, such as #of ratings or PSI) results in applying the new f...

Re: Bug Fixes - May 12
Ignored users are contributing to a film's probable score again. As another data point, you can unignore and then re-ignore the users again and they will stop being used for recaulculations of PSIs. At least for a short while. They show up again about a day later -- I guess maybe during the nightly...

Re: Introduce Yourself
I think they are referring to the box on a user's profile that lists the "films in common"/"totally agree"/"totally don't". That would be nice to be able to expand that.

Re: Criticker alternatives
It really depends on what you like and dislike about this site. RateYourMusic/Movies certainly has a painfully old user interface and a community, of sorts. Film Affinity lacks discussion and would largely provide what MovieLens does, but with a more European user base. Almost everything else I've r...

Filmmaker List and TV Episodes
So, Susanna White shows up on my Top Director list, but when I go to her page, it shows I haven't rated any, which is confusing. I'm pretty sure this is because I've rated the three episodes of Andor that I rated but is not credited as a director on the series (in contrast to Generation Kill ). On t...

Re: 10 highest scoring new/contemporary directors
My movie watching has really fallen off, so my newer directors are ones with their feature debut in 1996 -- my median year (that's only 28 years, ago. right?) -- or later (with avg percentile and count): 1. Alexander Payne: 84.33 (3) 2. Jason Reitman: 81.33 (3) 3. Brad Bird: 76 (3) 4. Rian Johnson: ...
