I'm kind of in one of those "Why do I need to listen all this different kinds of music when there is the Beatles?" phases.
Other than that I have had Modern Love stuck in my head for days, thanks to Mauvais Sang
What Music are you listening to right now?

Re: What Music are you listening to right now?
Today I went and downloaded the two albums of Prussian Blue (of Nazi Pop Twins fame) because I realized I'd seen the documentary and liked it but never actually heard the music, and I'm into musical oddities. Currently listening to a song called "Aryan Man Awake". And, well.. Yeah. No. Not so much a musical oddity as an assault on common sense. Don't know whether this should be making me laugh or not.

That was the first phase of my music loving history. The Beatles were the first band I've ever listened to and at the moment the only one I needed, didn't even see the necessity to listen to anything else. Right now I'm listening to The Beatles' 'Yer Blues', by the way, and really - who needs John Lee Hooker, B. B. King and the entire Detroit Blues scene when you have this one song which you can listen to for your entire life? In fact the whole White Album is absolutely fantastic and it is striking how many genres can be covered so wonderfuly in two CDs. One band - more like four artists at that time, anyway - put down the whole late 60's in less than two hours.

The Lovin' Spoonful - Summer In The City
And just before that I was listening to the first ever rock song, the Elvis cover of Arthur Crudup's 'That's All Right'. God bless Rock n' Roll.

I don't know what's so great about The Prodigy. Maybe I've not heard enough, but I had trouble making anything of Omen when I heard it. To me it's just an electronically compiled scramble of clips from other pieces.

YES. Just when I was wondering what music should accompany my moving-out packing. This shall definitely be it.
