Bomberman

So laughably archaic compared to later Bomberman games. I guess I can call it a worthy proof of concept, but that's about the most effusive praise I could give it.

The core gameplay of this series was there from the get-go. In retrospect, the ramp up is a bit slow at the start as you hunt down those first few power-ups, but it's not like it has much more to throw at you once it's gotten to slightly faster enemies and then ones that can go through unblasted walls. (Also, it's dead easy if you can hang onto the power-ups that die with you.) But it's fun, they built off of it later on, and do those *other* games tie into Lode Runner?
