"Like a Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest minus most everything that made those series good. Just shuffles you artlessly from dialogue scene to dialogue scene spaced out only by the world’s most generic JRPG battling."
|6 68%||The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD (2021) - Nov 10, 2022
"Stacks relatively low on the 3D Zelda games tier list - still a good game tho."
|1 6%||Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising (2022) - Nov 09, 2022
"Glitched-out disaster that never should have been released in this state. Your character randomly freezes, swallowed inputs, menus glitch out and display wrong information / won't scroll, enemies you need to beat freeze in place and won't get hit, permanent loading screens, the game forgets which flags you've triggered and levels you've beaten, NPCs float off the ground and glitch out, etc. Guess it's heartwarming full circle that this is as much shovelware in 2022 as Karate Kid NES was in 1987."

"This would have seemed awesome if it had come out like 30 years ago before Super Metroid and Symphony of the Night. But by today's standards it seems a bit by-the-numbers Metroidvania."
|6 68%||Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (2021) - Oct 04, 2022
"Open world Mario! Can’t rate it super high because it’s more the suggestion / idea of a game than a true game, but I enjoyed my few hours with it more than I’d have enjoyed a couple mediocre movies"

"Gonna struggle to remain a hit game with kids who spent two years being told they’ll kill each other if they breathe in each other’s vicinity lol"
|4 36%||Dig Dug (1982) - Sep 18, 2022
"Yep… that was an arcade game. That it was"
|6 68%||Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (2022) - Sep 04, 2022
"A lot of fun, with very nostalgic graphics and soundtrack - albeit very simple, just zone out and mash buttons, all the way up to and including Shredder himself."
|8 92%||Rise of the Third Power (2022) - Jul 19, 2022
"Most modern but SNES styled JRPGs that hit the indie scene are short and lazy, so it was a delight to play a new one that was a legit full-sized FF6 / Chrono Trigger length game. Complete with a fresh battle system, tons of areas on the map, crafting and skill trees, relics, lots of optional end game content like a good SNES JRPG should have, superbosses, etc. Pixel art real sharp and colorful and pretty. Hints of “The Message” seeping in at the edges, but only hints and everything else great."
|6 68%||Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (1999) - Jun 16, 2022
"Solid Mario Bros on the go; memories of playing it in the back of my parents’ car."
