In 1989 terms, this had good graphics, fantastic animations, and that magic that would make certain games feel like a new door opened, sparking the imagination. Sadly, there wasn't a lot to the main tournament mode save for a linear progression through the same set of opponents. The gameplay of the fights was rather restrictive and tended to reward cheesy tactics rather than creativity.
