Someone likes to take their donnie darko/silent hill/stephen king-cocktail with a huge side serving of strange sandwiches...and it works remarkably well. The dreamlike atmosphere this game manages with 2d graphics and clunky animation is impressive. Monster design and the "action" elements are nothing to write home about and could've even been dropped altogether, though.
