Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate

Attempts to merge schlocky 3D action game mechanics with 2D Castlevania and it doesn't work too well. There's no depth to the combo mechanics and it often stifles the dynamic movement you had in previous CV entries. Even worse is how crappy the level design is - they pad out levels with pointless verticality despite its linearity and shove in garbage puzzles that are never fun to do. Also, I hate the aesthetic of the game and general pretentiousness of the plot.
