Still doubles as one of the greatest management games as well as one of the greatest number-crunching character-development RPGs out there. Sadly, although little bells and whistles are added every year, some systems - such as pep talks, interviews and negotiations - remain half-baked, league playability remains limited without mods, save speed is abysmal, and accumulating bugs and glitches can ruin long playthroughs.
