I mostly played Horde and that was fun. Campaign is okay, the start is quite boring but it gets better from Act 2 onwards. Best played, as always, in co-op.

What happened to Gears of War? The original games shook the repetitive gameplay up with new ideas and tasks. This took a couple of those ideas, but mostly focused on the shooting. The shooting. The endless shooting. Got a problem? Shoot it. And modern developers need to take classes on enemy AI, specifically AI that is fun to battle. Even horde mode is boring.
